It was Oscar Wilde that said 'all art is quite useless', which might explain why design isn't taken seriously by many artists - because it's essence lies in the fusing of aesthetics with practicality. Thankfully the good people of Wroclaw realise the importance of this oft-taken-for-granted trade, and have set up this gallery to laud the achievements of designers in every field: interior design, industrial design, consumer graphic art, advertising photography are all represented.
