we're on

Who says the bad old days are over? At PRL they're in full-swing! Step inside and feel like you've gone back about 40 years. Old music puts you in the mood while Lenin, Stalin, Bierut, Gomulka and Mao look down on you from the walls. Of course, you can get the standard foods (which, staying true to history, are mandatory with consumption of alcohol!) of those days: jelly, bread with dripping, pickles or "other delicious treats". Naturally, you'll be served by a fellow citizens clad in red jackets with CCCP all over them. Kinda creepy. But if you're upset about missing out on life with Lenin, now's your chance!

Good place for the party - plus for the smoking zone - no need to go outside! Useful esp. in the winter ;)

Interesting place, reminds you of the communistic time..... Totally different atmosphere in the basement. You have to visit this place.

this is definitely the best place in wroclaw to understand polish culture in one evening!

just like the person below wrote - so bad it's good. questionable polish snacks and vodka everywhere. a real polish experience.

This place is phenomenal. They stock great vodka. The music is so horrendous that it's good. They let me sing 3 times on the karaoke. The staff are great. The decor is amazing. I am SO coming back!

it's funny how Poles still feel plenty of nostalgia for the bad old days of the PRL - it makes for a good party in any case!!

Really liked this place. Ground floor level has a small dance floor where you can watch the 'older' Poles on a weekend getting excited at old hits or folk music (and even some karaoke). Downstairs is the proper club, where people of all ages and shapes and sizes mix and dance in a friendly atmosphere to the likes of Boney M, MJ or Abba - and there are a smattering of very nice ladies about too! Not for the serious clubber, but the place is unpretentious and fun.

I liked the decor of this club. Is very interesting cause it reminds you to another era. It is worth visiting and is good to chill out in the sofa's and watch out of the window directly in the main square. There's also a dancefloor downstairs. Good place for nostalgic people!

Just come back from Wroclaw and PRL was definitely the best pub/club we went to. We were the only British people in there but the locals made us feel welcome, even if all the men were 6' 6" tall!

The music was a stange mixture of 70s/80s cheese (they even played the Final Countdown) and catchy Polish pop. A unique experience!

loved PRL was such a fun place! Right on the square and a good mix of locals and tourists. I'll be back for some more Polish vodka soon!

Great place for a sloppy night out with down-to-earth/down-and-out people like myself - love it!

was in Warsaw 5 days visited the unsigned hidden private members club twice , you need to persuade the door man that you are somebody to get in they will let you in if you get there early stayed till 4.30am was full and people still arriving, after 4am. music was great everyone was in a party mood 1 large room for dancing with couple sofa rooms for chilling out, its my and my friends favourite club in the world just wish the dance floor was bigger as so many peope were dancing, we danced for 4 hours solid. will be back

I really good laugh of a place upstairs where everyone was singing bizarre Polish songs on the Karaoke. It was all tongue in cheek. A nightclub in an archway cavern down stairs, even more bizarre with an all Polish soundtrack. Worth a visit for a drink to see something unique you won't find anywhere else.
