Czeski Film Pub

You'll find this cosy spot just west of the Main Market Square. The cavernous Czeski Film Pub (Czech Film Pub) is exactly the kind of place where you could imagine old school Czech film directors hanging out in. A smattering of black and white prints from the Czech capital and some tasty Czech beers add to the flavour. You can also drop by for a snack, with light bites such as pancakes on the menu. Ladies will note the larger than lifesize painting of a man, depicted as God made him. No prizes for guessing where the large bronze tap emerges from.

"I was recommended to go by my friend who said that the pancakes with peaches were simply delicious. However, when I went the first time, I was in the mood for something more savoury so I had pierogi instead. Well, I went back almost every day for 8 weeks, and you know what? I still haven't tried the pancakes with peaches. I did try a fruit cocktail though. Blueberry or raspberry gets my vote."

"Hip, in a laid-back, artistic kind of way. Perfect place to spend a weekend night or a weekday afternoon. Also, I find it hard to say no to Czech beer!"

"That's a good, lively place...worth to go if you are in the city. Not easy to find though if you don't know where you are going - check on map before!"

"A splendid cellar bar awash with handsome folk clad in regulation Franz Ferdinand chic, even down to the authentically scuffed brogues. It can prove fiendishly difficult to obtain a table amongst the dimly lit alcoves but perseverance is advised as the pretence of effortless indie cred still manages to contrive an air of welcome. You'll indulge longer than you intended as a beguiling array of alcoholic possibilities coupled with a razor sharp soundtrack of songs you know and some you merely pretend to makes for one of Wroclaw's toppermost watering holes. "

"Wroclaw has totally joined the top of my 'coolest cities' category this summer. There are so many places to snag a cool beer and talk to some beautiful Polish women. Czeski Film was somewhat of a regular stop during my visit - solid place. I'm coming back next year!"
