Karczma Lwowska Restaurant website

Offering the best of traditional Eastern Polish delicacies is Karczma Lwowska, a restaurant situated over two floors right on Wroclaw's Market Square. Decorated with rustic trinkets and wooden furnishings, Karczma Lwowska truly offers a peek into the historic culture of the city. If you're not familiar with the rich history of Wroclaw, you might not be aware of the fact that many of the city's residents are originally from Lviv (a former Polish city). Karczma Lwowska offers a wonderful selection of traditional dishes from beef tartare to cabbage rolls, along with an open barbecue. You'll also get the chance to wash down your meal with a unique beer from Lviv. A visit to this restaurant is a must for those with a hunger for history, culture, and let's not forget - mouthwatering food!

Food is average, and way overpriced. There are other places in Wroclaw that do a much better job. They overcharge you for everything. They even change for the bread that's on every table and which they don't tell you about until you get the bill. Seems to me that the owner takes advantage of tourists and that's not right.

Wasn't a fan of polish cuisine, but this place is great. Good food, cold vodka, nice service - everything a restaurant needs. Wroclaw rocks!

Brought some friends here on a recent visit to Wroclaw, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Excellent friendly service, and the food is simply delicious. Back in January, we intend to return!

The food here can get a little heavy, so try to keep the portions small unless you want to be dragging your belly behind you for the rest of the day!

We followed the advise from the Guide and we tried this traditional cuisine. It was a very good experience. We ordered some dimpling and we also tried some soups, salads and drinks (of course ;) ). We really enjoyed our time. The weather outside was awful so we decided to stay in the cosy interior of Lwievska. We will be back!

The roasted veal 'jedesycki' (or sth like that) was fantastic! We didn't know what to order so we asked the waiter for the advice and we were delighted!

Well, you can't compare this place with Sphynks. Sphynks is a quick kebab and grill place...here everything is fresh and some points from the menu are time consuming. However mostly worth waiting.. Besides you can always call the waiter to be sure that you will be served as soon as this is possible ;)

Looks lovely and menu poster outside looked inviting. We took a seat and waited over 15 minutes for menu. people beside us already had menu when we arived but after the same 15 minutes didny have their order taken. They lft and so did we. No acknowledgement by staff of our presence. Went to Sphynx around the corner and gor very quick service and they were quite busy at the time.

Lovely view for the Main Square. The waiter advised us very good wine, which wasn't that expensive and we enjoyed the time there very much.

My family and I stopped here during our recent visit to the city and it turned out to be the perfect introduction to real Polish food. Funny that it's actually called "From Lviv".
