Nonstop Fun This Summer
Starting this weekend on the 29th June, and carrying on throughout most of July, Wroclaw's most ambitious and prestigious festival is back to rock the city – Wroclaw Nonstop is here for summer! Despite entering only its fourth year, The Nonstop Festival has quickly established itself as the highlight of the city’s cultural calendar, thanks to its broad-ranging programme that boasts everything from experimental outdoor theatre to commercial concerts, with plenty of zany goings on in between.
Amongst the highlights this year will be the magical Puja! group, who will combine dance, acrobatics, music and drama to create an amazing spectacle called 'Do Do Land' on the 29th June on the Rynek. On the 13th July another visual treat awaits Wroclawians in the form of the Deambulants, who will be performing aerial acrobatics on the tower of St. Elizabeth's Church… Not one you should try and imitate later! And providing the superstar quality for 2008 will be Manu Chao, who plays on the Sand Island on the River Odra on the evening of the 15th. The folk wizard is a popular figure in Poland and this concert is sure to go off with a bang.
Of course that's just the tip of the iceberg of a programme that also includes Graffiti Nonstop, a huge luminarium, open air art exhibitions and a host of other concerts, shows and activities. Check out their official website for more.
