Thanks Jimi a Success

Over 6000 guitar players landed in Wroclaw's main Market Square last weekend. Their aim? To break the Guinness world record of the largest group of guitarists playing simultaneously - and break it they did. On Friday May 1st, alongside Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse Wroclaw residents and visitors young and old, performed Jimi Hendrix's classic "Hey Joe". The event is part of the annual Thanks Jimi music festival, and in fact this year's attendance level at the mass "Hey Joe" perofrmance was tripled in comparison to 2008. It turns out that Wroclaw's reputation and Poland's guitar capital is very well deserved indeed.
