An Aquatic Addition

 

As if we didn't have enough to admire already, Wroclaw has received yet another lovely new addition to its visual charms in the form of a giant multimedia fountain. One of Wroclaw's most popular gardens and romantic spots, the pergola in front of Hala Ludowa, is a gorgeous place for a walk already and now we have another reason to visit.

The giant multimedia fountain, which was unveiled on 4 June, is 1 hectare large with 300 individual nozzles that spray water up to 40 metres high. As if that wasn't enough, 3 nozzles spout fire and a special aquatic screen is capable of displaying giant animations. Attended by 100 000 Wroclawians, the fountain's initiation on 4 June was a majestic display of water, fire, lights, lasers, animations, and music.

Those planning a visit during the colder months, needn't worry. During the winter, the fountain will be converted into a giant ice rink!
