When it Rains, it Pours

If you're planning on wandering the streets of Wroclaw anytime soon, it looks like carrying an umbrella will be an absolute necessity. Nearly every day, the skies above our city have opened, pouring down litres and litres of rain. In fact, much of southern Poland has suffered from weeks of relentless weather, resulting in flooding in many towns and villages.

Luckily, Wroclaw has remained safe, and its waterways such as the Odra river, have not risen high enough to risk any flooding. However, make sure to check in advance the state of roads and bridges outside of Wroclaw if you're planning on taking a day trip outside the city. Some thoroughfares have been damaged if not destroyed by the torrential rains.

It's not all doom and gloom fortunately, and most days are generally sunny and warm, with only a few hours of rain every day. So make sure to pack not only a pair of stylish shades, but a small portable umbrella - just in case!
