The city of Wroclaw has come up with a novel idea for making travel by public transport just a little more convenient. With the aid of 2D codes, you will now be able to check the schedule of your bus or tram directly via mobile phone.
Every bus or tram schedule at every stop will now have an accompanied 2D code image. This code, a kind of new generation UPC code, can be read by nearly every mobile phone. Simply take a photo of the image, and whenever you need a current schedule for your stop, you can use this code to call up information for the next 30 minutes or so. Information for all public transportation leaving the stop along with directions and exact arrival times will be sent to your phone. It looks like this will be a great time-saver for users of public transportation on the go.
