Full Speed Ahead towards UEFA 2012

Michel Platini, president of UEFA, paid Wroclaw a visit this morning. The focus of his visit was to observe the state of the Wroclaw stadium's construction in anticipation to the UEFA 2012 championships. Wroclaw is one of a handful of cities in Poland hosting the event. Platini was visibly impressed with the city's progress, giving the stadium two thumbs up.

Journalists asked the president about the chances of Wroclaw hosting a quarter-final match, though Platini answered that it is still open. More questions will be answered later this year, and the UEFA committee should set dates of exact matches in January or February of 2010.

The Frenchman ended his visit in Wroclaw in the Old Town, at the main Market Square and Ostrow Tumski.
