Wroclaw: Ghost Town?
It seems the word is getting out about the unique atmosphere in our fair city. Interest in Wroclaw has once again been sparked in the UK as British newspaper The Guardian published a travel feature written by Alex Webber. The article, entitled "Wroclaw: Poland's ghost town" was fittingly published on October 31st, Halloween, and describes the unique beauty of our dark and mysterious city submerged in history and enigma.
Highlight spooky adventures include the haunted Hansel and Gretel building on the Market Square where a woman was butchered by her demon-dwarf-possessed grandson. Another eerie locale suggested by Webber, also on the Market Square, is the House Under the Golden Dog at Rynek 4 where Frederick the Great was visited by a ghostly presence that snatched a quill from his hand and threw him to the ground.
Will you be able to hear the shrieks of the murdered grandmother or feel the eerie presence of Frederick the Great's phantom? There's only one way to find out!
Or, stop by the Wroclaw Life forums and tell us your own ghost stories and eerie experiences in Wroclaw.
