Christmas Market Opens Today

Wroclaw's magical Christmas Market has opened its doors for business starting today, Friday November 27th. There's plenty to do for the whole family throughout the Market, whether it be watching a concert in the Dwarves' Hut or meeting Santa Claus and his dwarves near the huge illuminated Christmas tree (don't forget to get your photo taken!). Wooden stalls will be selling delicious Polish gastronomic specialties including hot meals such as pierogi, snacks such as gingerbread and roasted nuts, or drinks such as Wroclaw grzaniec (mulled wine) and hot chocolate. You can also buy holiday accessories and gifts such as Christmas tree decorations, jewelry, handmade crafts, ceramics, candles, souvenirs and other regional specialties from across south-western Poland.

Soak up some of that Christmas spirit from 10am to 9pm until December 23rd 2009.

We were very impressed by the Christmas Market in Wroclaw! As good if not better than the one in Warsaw.
