American Film Festival Announced
Wroclaw's newest festival has been announced this week - the American Film Festival, set to debut in October of this year. The Festival will be organized by the Nowe Horyzonty organization, the same group responsible for the international Era Nowe Horyzonty film festival.
The festival will be based in the Helios cinema on Kazimierza Wielkiego street where over 70 films will be shown across nine screens. A wide variety of independent American films will be screened, including experimental movies and documentaries. Several retrospectives are also planned, including a retrospective of the works of John Cassavetes (1929-1989), a Greek-American actor, director, and screenwriter.
Further information including a detailed program and ticket prices will be announced in the near future. The festival is confirmed to take place from 20 to 24 October.
