Wroclaw Roads Third Worst in Europe
Bad news for drivers headed to Wroclaw- the city has been deemed third most congested in Europe in a survey conducted by UK SatNav company TomTom. First place honours went to Brussels with Poland's capital Warsaw coming up at a close second.
So, how does one avoid the traffic in Wroclaw? The short answer is to avoid using a car, obviously! Public transportation, particularly trams, are an ideal option in Wroclaw to avoid both traffic congestion and parking costs (and hassle). The Old Town can be easily visited on foot, or if you are feeling particularly adventurous there are also several bike rental agencies in the centre. Generally speaking however, driving in Wroclaw is not a complete nightmare - as long as you avoid morning and evening rush hours!
