Flood Risk Rises
While Wroclaw may not face floods from rainfall alone, flood waters traveling down the Odra river have rapidly increased the risk of flooding in the city.
Wroclaw's residents and emergency services are working to secure the city from flood waters as the river levels continue to rise. Dikes around the river have been reinforced with thousands of sandbags. The river's level is expected to peak on Saturday 22 May.
