Dalai Lama visits Wroclaw

As we reported earlier this year, the Dalai Lama was scheduled to visit Wroclaw in September. His visit came on the 22nd as he spent two days speaking to the public and visiting the Solid Wroclaw exhibition which traces the history of the Solidarity movement in Wroclaw.

The highlight of his visit was a lecture at the Centennial Hall, where the Tibetan spiritiual leader spoke to a packed room filled with 6000 people about freedom, solidarity, and the case of Poland. During his lecture the Dalai Lama said: “Spiritually and emotionally I was part of the Solidarity movement. You cannot suppress the human desire for freedom.”
