Adamek to Fight Klitchko

The scheduled fight between top Polish boxer Tomasz Adamek and current IBF/WBO champion Vladimir Klitchko, which we reported earlier this year, has been confirmed. The fight will take place in September of this year, and while the venue has yet to be confirmed, it has been speculated that Wroclaw will host the event.

Adamek, who is currently based in the United States, will prepare for this extremely important fight with a warm-up against Irish boxer Kevin McBride this April in Newark, New Jersey.

The September fight against the Ukrainian champion will be the first heavyweight world championship in Poland's boxing history.
