Euro 2012 Tickets on Sale
Tickets are finally on sale for the Euro 2012 football championship, set to take place jointly in Poland and Ukraine. Wroclaw is one of the four Polish cities hosting matches, alongside Gdansk, Poznan, and Warsaw.
UEFA president Michel Platini launched the ticket sale at a ceremony in Warsaw. Tickets are now exclusively on sale at uefa.com for price points ranging from 30 to 600 euro.
Because of overwhelming interest and a finite number of seats, UEFA has arranged a lottery system for ticket sales. Tickets are not sold first come first served, but can be registered for on the website throughout the month of March. Tickets are then distributed amongst the winners of a random lottery. A maximum of four tickets per game, per day, can be purchased.
While the total number of tickets available for the Euro championship is 1.4 million, already over half a million have registered for seats.
