Lower Silesian Film Centre to Open in September
Wroclaw's newest addition to its already brimming film-related cultural offerings is the DCF, or Lower Silesian Film Centre, set to open after major renovations on 1 September 2011.
The people behind the Film Centre have made it clear that their goal is not to compete with major multiplexes - after all, there won't even be popcorn served here. The centre hopes to attract audiences looking for something a little more ambitious through a challenging repertoire of international films both old and new.
The modern space is filled with images from classic film, and photos of icons like Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin. The DCF will also contain a film bookstore, cafe, and bar.

Keep in mind that in Poland, the general rule is to screen films with subtitles (not dubbing - unless you are seeing a children's film). Great for seeing English-language flicks, but not so great if you can't understand neither the spoken language or the Polish subtitles!
