February Friendly May Be Hosted in Wroclaw
Following severe delays with the completion of the National Stadium in Warsaw, Wroclaw may take over duties as host for a football friendly scheduled to take place on 29 February 2012.
Warsaw's difficulties sprung up recently with the municipal fire department declining to grant a pivotal health and safety permit for the stadium. However, the City Hall overturned the decision and the massive inaugural concert set to take place on 29 January was not forced to cancel as a result.
However, Wroclaw, which will also host Euro 2012 matches in June, has been chosen as a back-up choice for the February football game between Poland and Portugal.
