Competition for Wroclaw's Concert Hall
The City of Wroclaw has announced the Competition for the architectural design concept of the Concert Hall and Wolnosci Square in Wroclaw, Poland.
The competition is held in the form of a one-stage, urban planning-architectural implementation contest. The object of the competition is to elaborate architectural concept for the Concert Hall building as well as Wolnosci Square incl. underground parking; a program-spatial concept for the Lower Silesia Opera House; redevelopment and extension of the western wing of the former King’s Palace with a development concept for the Wolnosci Square area.
The goal of the competition is to obtain the best (from acoustic, architectural and functional point of view) architectural concept for the design of the Concert Hall, as well as a development concept for the area of Wolnosci Square in Wroclaw which should take into account the character and importance of the place.
