Wroclaw Graduate exhibits work in Arizona
Anna Skibska's "Landscape With Stars" exhibition showcases the illumination of the stars through glass sculpture.
Skibska studied art and architecture at the Academy of Art in Wroclaw, Poland, where she remained an instructor after graduating. It was during that time that she began experimenting with fragments of glass.
Nowadays, Skibska uses slender glass rods and the intense heat of a torch to change glass into a malleable form. While the glass is still hot, Skibska stretches and fuses the rods, allowing for the capture of light and the casting of shadows to enhance the viewer's perception of the art.
