Peter Greenaway shoots parts of his new film in Wroclaw

The southwestern city of Wroclaw will be the site of a new film production by British director Peter Greenaway. He is to shoot part of a his new film based on the life of the Dutch painter Rembrandt, which will portray events leading up to the creation of the famous painting “The Night Watch”.

The film will examine the effects the canvas has had on the life of one of the greatest painters in European history. The British film crew will use the Wroclaw Feature Film Company studios and the shooting is planned from August 21st to September 23rd.
