Avantgarde Hostel

Avantgarde is representative of a new breed of superslick hostels taking over Wroclaw. Well-located just near the main train station, and only ten or fifteen minutes walk from the Square, Avant garde has everything that the modern traveller demands. Stylishly decorated grey and orange dorms sleep a maximum of seven people, their lounge boasts satellite TV and computer with free internet access (WiFi also available), and the hostel also is fitted with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities - including the all important 24hr hot water. What's more the prices at Avantgarde are very reasonable - especially if you are a student!

Stayed here sometime ago and was very satisfied from it's location. Very close to the main railway station - so after coming from Cracow we could easily unpacked our staff before heading for to the Old Town. Attractive price for a very decent standard.

Cheap and good - European hostel standard. plus for the location.

Nice receptionists, asocial cleaning staff.. shouting and making a lot of noise early in the morning.. not a client-friendly atmosphere... to less bathrooms/ toilets.. almost got into a fight with an old Polish customer because I used the bathroom at his floor...and other asocial clients.. who not respect the other clients who try to sleep... entering room 20 times for nothing, talking loudly where other sleep, snorking etc...extremely noisy double-beds and pillows to little for sleeping... Bad experience.. surely do not come back for that....

This is the common problem with all hostels Ian. You never know who will be your neighbour ;) I can't complain - during my stay it was quiet for most of the time...

Not cheap for Poland. Very loud and VERY smokey!
This is a great place if you are under 21 and just want to party, but if you are a traveller and need any amount of sleep then go somewhere else.

Busy hostel in a busy part of the city - comfortable if you travel from or to Cracow by train!

This is a very good base to stay in Wroclaw. You can easily get lot's of information about what's going on in the city at the reception ;) Also this is a very busy hostel so you can always find a company for the night out ;)

Very nice hostel. Lot's of people from different places. We enjoyed being in Wroclaw and we will come back.

This is a perfect location for a quick train trip - very close to the train station and not far away from the Market Square. Value for money!
